Father Mark Wright
Rector and Discipleship Team Leader
Bio: The Rev. Mark has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology from Duquesne University and a Master of Divinity degree from Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry, Ambridge, Pennsylvania. Mark and Laurel have been married for 35 years. They have two children, Jonathan–29 and Joshua–22. Both boys were born in Texas when the Wright’s lived in Houston & Shreveport areas. Mark was formerly the Rector of Saint David’s Episcopal Church in Venetia, Pennsylvania between 1995 and 2007.
Lay Pastor and Ministry Team Leader
Bio: Joyce is responsible for all the support ministries, Stephen ministry, prayer ministries and is a Lay Eucharistic Minister. Joyce has been a hospital and hospice chaplain. She received her training at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, New Jersey. She has also completed her Pastoral Care training at the Blanton-Peale Institute in New York.
Music Ministry Director
Bio: Mark has been leading worship for 15+ years. He has done so in different churches and for various organizations. Mark writes in his resume: "I desire a worship director position where I can use my musical, leadership, and relational skills to invest in the lives of others by both building teams of artists that lead the congregation in worship and helping people grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and with one another." An innovative worship designer, Mark enjoys the creative and collaborative process of crafting worship services to fully engage people in worship and internalize the teaching.
Mark is skilled in building and directing vocal and instrumental ensembles, including both worship bands and choirs. He is equipped to coach all skill levels, from beginner to professional. A dedicated Christ-follower deeply committed to personal spiritual growth, Mark is constantly striving to live by example and encouraging volunteers, friends, staff and congregation to do likewise.
Bio: Matt is responsible for overseeing our Youth Ministries. Matt holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Mississippi and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. He began serving at St. Nicholas in April of 2003.
