Small Groups and other classes
CHRISTIANITY EXPLORED: Sundays at 5pm begining Jan. 10
This course is for people who would like to investigate Christianity, or just brush up on the basics. It explores who Jesus was, what his aims were, and what it means to follow Him. This DVD series is taught by Rico Tice from England. The Rector will be facilitating this series.
CROWN MINISTRY:
Financial conflict is reported as a top reason for divorce. Couples who commit to learning about their spending tendencies and work together on their financial plan find their marriages strengthened. In this practical, life-changing small group study you will be encouraged and challenged as you learn and apply what Scripture teaches about handling all of your
possessions.
LIFE TRANSFORMATION GROUPS (LTG):
A Life Transformation Group is made up of two or three people of the same gender who meet weekly to discuss their daily Bible reading. In addition, they ask each other character-building questions and pray. If you are interested in Meeting Weekly, Reading the Bible, Asking Character Building Questions, and Praying for Pre-Christian Family and Friends this is for you.
Last winter St. Nick’s offered The Truth Project for the first time with great response. Focus on the Family writes this about their series: The Truth Project is a DVD-based study taught by Dr. Del Tackett. It is the starting point for looking at life from a biblical perspective. Each lesson discusses the relevance and importance of living the Christian worldview. As it has been throughout history, God continues to call ordinary people to make an eternal difference in our world.
Groups began last September with the Healing Life’s Choices series from Purpose Driven (Pastor Rick Warren) and then the groups had the option of continuing with additional studies from Purpose Driven. Several groups have continued and are taking new members. Come gather around the Word of God guided by Rick Warren.
