The Love of Christ Changing Lives!

At St. Nicholas, we believe God has given us, through His Scriptures, a path to follow. He has called us into a relationship with Him that is fillled with love, healing, and more. He calls us to worship Him with our lives as well as our lips. And so, on Sunday mornings we gather for the purpose of worshipping Him. But the purpose of Worship is far more than gathering together on Sunday mornings alone.

Part of offering ourselves to Him in worship is to realize that as we slowly learn to follow the path He sets before us, we learn to walk as His disciples walked.  We learn to walk the Disciple's Path all of the time - not just on Sunday mornings!  Below is a diagram of what this path looks like at St. Nicholas:

Beginning with our 101 Class, we learn what it means to be a part of the Body of Christ, the Church.

The next base along this path is our 201 Class, also known as Spiritual Maturity. This is the next base because it is where we learn why and how we deepen our relationship with Jesus Christ.

The third base on the Disciple's Path is our 301 Class, also known as Who Am I? Discovering Your Unique Gifts.  Once you have be introduced to what it means to be in fellowship with others (101) and how to draw closer to God as His disciple (201), it is time to discover what gifts, talents, and plans the LORD has for your life!

The next base is our 401 Class, also known as Discovering My Life's Mission. Having begun the process of discovering my gifts and talents (301), spending time drawing closer to the LORD (201) and living in Christian fellowship (101), it is only natural that the LORD would begin to show me how I am to reach out to others with all I have learned!

It is our prayer that this process is understandable and realistic, and is something our LORD uses to change your life. After all, at St. Nicholas we believe in the Love of Christ Changing Lives!

Why not start walking the Disciple's Path today?  Just go to Adult Ministries for a schedule and explanation of the opportunities available at St. Nick's to round the bases.

And, be sure to visit our Youth Ministry and our Children's Ministry to understand how teens and kids can round the bases as well.  At St. Nicholas, we believe every member of the family is called to walk this Discple's Path!
