The Reverend Mark Wright - Rector
The Rev. Mark has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology from Duquesne University and a Master of Divinity degree from Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry, Ambridge, Pennsylvania. 
Mark and Laurel have been married for 28 years. They have two children, Jonathan–22 and Joshua–16. Both boys were born in Texas when the Wright’s lived in Houston & Shreveport areas. 
Mark was formerly the Rector of Saint David’s Episcopal Church in Venetia, Pennsylvania between 1995 and 2007.

Matt Stroud - Youth Minister
Matt is responsible for overseeing our Youth Ministries. Matt holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Mississippi and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. He began serving at St. Nicholas in April of 2003.

Rebecca Carroll-Children's Ministry Director

She has a Master of Arts in Teaching from Texas Women's University and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Austin College. She did her Teaching Field Experience at Fairview Elementary School in Sherman, Lakeview Middle School in The Colony and at Argyle Intermediate School. Rebecca was a student teacher at Garden Ridge Elementary School in Flower Mound and at Downing Middle School in Flower Mound.
She has also worked at Forest Vista Elementary School in the Extended School Day, volunteered with Boys and Girls Club of Sherman and taught a children’s theater workshop. She is currently a substitute teacher for Lewisville Independent School District.
Rebecca grew up in this area and attended Trietsch Methodist Church as a child and a teen. At Trietsch she volunteered as a helper for Vacation Bible School. Here at St. Nicholas she was one of the craft leader’s for our Vacation Bible School in 2010. This year she chaperoned the Bishop’s Ball with her husband for the Youth Group, she taught preschool FaithWeaver class on Sundays and is one of the lead First Steps teachers. This summer Rebecca is co-leader of Vacation Bible School. 

 

Joyce Neth - Lay Pastor
Joyce is responsible for all the support ministries, Stephen ministry, prayer ministries and is Lay Eucharistic Minister. Joyce has been a hospital and hospice chaplain. She received her training at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, New Jersey. She has also completed her Pastoral Care training at the Blanton-Peale Institute in N. Y.

James Henderson - Music Minister

Jim completed his Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Texas at Austin. He directed the University of Texas Women’s Chorus from 2004-2008. Jim received the Bachelor of Music degree from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1989 and his Master of Music degree from UT Austin in 2006. He was the Director of Music at the First Presbyterian Church in Irving, Texas and has served in the Austin area at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church and The Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit.

Debbie Mancino - Administrative Assistant
As Administrative Assistant, Debbie provides assistance to the Rector, the staff, and the Vestry. Prior to coming to St. Nicks, she spent 15+ years as an office manager/administrative assistant. Debbie and her husband, Bob, like to camp and explore nature. She has three children and one granddaughter. Debbie likes to read and crochet.

Lyle Nicklen - Sexton
Lyle is responsible for building security and assists with facility management. He also assists with Mausoleum services and burials. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech, Radio and Television from the University of Omaha. After serving in the United States Air force as a pilot, he was employed in the paper manufacturing industry in Louisiana for 22 years. God called Lyle to the Bishop Mason Center in 1980 and has lived onsite since then. Lyle served as a Deacon from 1974–1983.
